Duties:
Provide
one-to-one and/or small group tutoring to QCC students in English,
literature, cross-curricular Writing-Intensive courses,
exit-from-remediation CATW exam preparation, and all writing-related
coursework; support writing-related needs of ESL students; participate in
weekly training sessions.
Qualifications:
Required: Minimum of 24 earned credits, GPA of 3.4
or above, grade of A- or better in EN101 and 102 (English Composition I & II)
or equivalent course, as well as in any other English or writing-related
course for which you wish to be considered; ability to explain
English grammar to students is strongly preffered; excellent interpersonal
and communication skills.
Preferred:Prior
one-to-one and/or small group tutoring experience; Associates degree and
above; familiarity with critical thinking skills, learning styles, Writing
Across the Curriculum, educational technology, disability issues and/or
ESL issues.
