Bring
your entire class to the
CTAS Writing Center! Each semester, many English and WI instructors arrange to bring
their classes to visit the
WritingSupport
during class time. Usually one hour in length, these
in-center class visits introduce students to our services and
resources, and give students an opportunity to work with a writing tutor on a
writing assignment in small groups.
To
request a class visit, complete this faculty
class visit request form and e-mail it to
Joe Labozzetta.
Please include a copy of the assignment that your students will be working on
while at the
WritingSupport.
**Note:
In-center class visits are most effective for your students, and easiest to
schedule, when they happen early in
the semester. Most importantly, our records show that many students return
to the
WritingSupport
on their own for one-on-one tutoring after they have come with a class.
If you bring students early in the writing process, they will be ready to come
back for assistance on whatever aspect or stage of writing most challenges
them.
