Academic
Computing Center (ACC): Located in L-117 on the first floor of the Library Building. The ACC provides a wide array of academic technology; including a large student computing lab (Windows and Mac OS), podia, laptops, mobile devices, media services; several venues to host student, faculty and staff workshops; virtual servers for online courseware hosting of videos and academic websites; and technical consulting for Queensborough's academic community.
College
Discovery: an educational opportunity program that provides counseling,
academic support services, and, in certain cases, financial aid to students who
would otherwise be unable to attend college because of economic circumstances.
College
Science & Technology Entry Program (CSTEP): a joint project of the
New York State Education Department and Queensborough Community College. CSTEP
is a special enrichment program designed to provide a variety of services for
students who are planning careers in the scientific, engineering, and technical
and health related professions.
CUNY E.D.G.E.: provides a broad range of support services to QCC students that are receiving public assistance or who meet specific economic guidelines. From job placement, resume preparation and career counseling, to academic and tutorial referrals, to registration for Training Related Expenses (TREs), assistance with various forms mandated by the HRA, to disbursements of Free Metro Cards, free interview and employment clothing, and more, the CUNY Edge Program is a reservoir of informational and hands-on resources.
Foreign
Language and Literatures Lab: The language lab is located on the second
floor of the Humanities building room 240. The lab gives you access to a vast
amount of news, events, information and practice through various programs,
videos, and links to the Internet.
Mathematics
Learning Center: A tutoring and self-study facility accessible to all
students. It is open year round and provides assistance for all mathematics and
computer science courses, from the developmental to the advanced level.
Nursing
Resource Center: A multimedia Learning/Resource Center located in the
Medical Arts Building, third floor (M-333). The Nursing Resource Center is
designed to enhance lecture and clinical skills provided by the faculty.
Students
with Disabilities: Offers a variety of services in order to to
facilitate the academic success of students with disabilities through the
provision of appropriate educational supports and settings while nurturing
personal development.
