What does the Campus Writing Center offer BE students?
The CWC now provides the writing tutors and other academic support for students taking BE courses. The former  Academic Literacy Learning Center has now joined with the Campus Writing Center and shares its location, staff, and other resources.

Who can use the CWC?
We service all students taking BE courses (BE-102, BE-111, BE-121, BE-122, BE-201, BE-203, BE-205, BE-225, BE-226).

When is the CWC open to BE students? Where are you located?
Our new  tutoring hours are 9 AM - 8 PM, Monday through Thursday, 9 AM - 5 PM Friday, and 10 AM - 3 PM Saturday. We are located on the first floor of the Library building, L-118.

Do I need an appointment?
No appointments are needed! Tutors are now available on a walk-in basis, so you may come any time we are open. However, please note that you will need to stay for the entire 50-minute session if you need to fulfill a required tutoring hour.

Is there a fee for tutoring?
Not at all! All of our tutoring and support services for BE students are free.

Are computers available for my tutoring session?
Yes, we now have laptops available for students to use during a tutoring session. These are useful for making changes to your paper draft (if it is saved online or to a flash drive), conducting internet research with a tutor, and other academic needs.

Does Conversation Hour count for required tutoring hours?
Yes, Conversation Hour events are available Monday-Thursday and each session fulfills one required tutoring hour.

Who are the tutors?
Our friendly tutors come from diverse educational backgrounds. BE tutors are trained to assist all students in improving their reading and writing skills.
