The Campus Writing Center (CWC), located on
the 1st Floor of the Library Building, serves as a college-wide
resource providing QCC students with FREE tutoring assistance for all English
(ENGL) coursework, as well as any writing-related or WI assignment across the
curriculum. With its friendly staff of highly trained writing tutors and
workshop facilitators, CWC offers CAT-W Writing Exam prep,
ENGL-101 Early Intervention Skills workshops, and many one-to-one, small group,
and e-tutoring options for students to choose from!

After hours of classroom instruction, the Campus Writing Center Annex gives
students the chance to practice and prepare for the BE reading exams and the

Students preparing for the CATW Exam are guided through the criteria required
for a passing essay. Students work together in groups, allowing them to share
their newfound knowledge. Sessions cover all aspects of the essay, from
grammatical tips to stylistic advice.
Reading strategies sessions and CATW review sessions are held throughout the
