                                                                              Overview of Campus Writing Services

Campus Writing Center

The Campus Writing Center provides a wide range of free resources and support for student writers and QCC instructors. We are open six days a week (Monday-Saturday) year-round, including January and the summer sessions.

Students can visit us for one-on-one sessions with a writing tutor on a one-time or regular weekly basis. Another tutoring option is to submit a paper draft for feedback online through our iPASS e-tutoring system. The Writing Center also runs test-prep workshops, for qualifying students, for the CATW and ATB Writing Objective exams.

Many QCC instructors take advantage of our services with in-center class visits. Available for one- or two-hour increments during regular Writing Center hours, class visits are an excellent way to introduce students to the Writing Center and have them work with a tutor on a writing assignment in small groups of 2-4 students. Another popular option is to have a Writing Center representative visit your class to give a 5-minute overview of our services. For more information or to request a class visit, contact Joe Labozzetta.

Please see our Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) section for more details about Campus Writing Center services.
