Refer a Student for Tutoring

Do you have a student who would benefit from working with a writing tutor? Complete this form  and ask your student to bring it to the Campus Writing Center . Indicate which, if any, specific concept(s) you would like us to cover in the session (i.e., “run-on sentences” or “thesis statement”).

**Please encourage your students to visit us as early as possible in the semester.** Grammar and other language usage issues in particular take time to work through.

Also, if you send students to us to review and improve upon a graded assignment, please remind them to bring the original assignment instructions as well. That way, our tutors can help your students compare what they have written to your assignment requirements.

Soon after your student visits, you will receive a progress log through interoffice mail; it will note the skills and concepts covered in the tutoring session.
