Supplemental Instruction (SI) Jobs
Supplemental Instruction (SI) Leader
Duties:
Plan and lead regularly scheduled SI sessions that promote active, collaborative learning for students enrolled in historically challenging courses. Attend assigned class lectures, collaborate with course instructor(s), and complete required documentation and reports. This is a full-semester commitment.Basic Qualifications:
- 15 Completed College Credits or more
- 3.3 GPA or Higher
- Grade of B+ in the course (or course equivalent) for which you are applying to lead SI sessions
- Must be able to offer a minimum of 8 hours per week of availability
- Must be available to attend mandatory professional development events/trainings
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with diverse student populations
Applications are now being accepted for next semester. Eligibility to participate in the Supplemental Instruction Program is based on the following:
- academic qualifications;
- satisfactory performance during an interview with CTAS staff;
- availability to attend and participate in SI-Supported course sections and SI Session times.

Writing Tutor
Duties:
Provide one-to-one and/or small-group tutoring through face-to-face or online tutoring sessions.Minimum Qualifications:
- 12 Completed College Credits
- 3.0 GPA
- Grade of B+ in the course or courses you are requesting to tutor
- A- or better in EN 101 and EN 102 or equivalent courses (Writing Tutors only)
- Must be able to offer a minimum of 15 hours per week of availability
- Must be available to attend mandatory professional development events/trainings
- Good listening skills
- A desire to work with and help others
Preferred Qualifications:
- 24 Completed College Credits or more
- 3.4 GPA or Higher
- Grade of A- in the course or courses you are requesting to tutor
- 15+ hours of availability per week
- Ability to tutor multiple courses
- Strong evidence of written and oral communications skills
- Prior tutoring experience

Duties:

- 3.0 GPA

- Must be able to offer a minimum of 12 hours per week of availability
- Must be available to attend mandatory professional development events/trainings
- Good listening skills
- A desire to work with and help others
